Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By requesting admission, signing in, accessing the Doorhunter console, or connecting an agent client through the Model Context Protocol (MCP), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not access or use Doorhunter.

2. Purpose & Nature of the Service

Doorhunter is an evidence-backed career cockpit, private job tracking ledger, and Model Context Protocol server. It is provided to assist individual job seekers in organizing job postings, evaluating alignment against verified career claims, maintaining structured notes, and performing client-side fit analysis.

3. Encryption & Key Custody

Career documents and sensitive ledger notes are encrypted at rest under a 256-bit AES-GCM key unique to your hunt. Facts and short quotes extracted from your resume are stored unencrypted so they can be searched and cited.

Key Custody: Your hunt's key is made in your browser and the server never stores it. You open your hunt with a passkey, or with the key itself. While your hunt is unlocked the running service holds the key in memory so it can answer your agent, which means the host operator could technically read your hunt during that time; the service forgets the key when you sign out, eight hours after you last used it, and whenever it restarts. While your hunt is locked, nothing on the server, in a backup or in a database copy can open it. If you lose every passkey and your key, your data cannot be recovered, by you or by us; you can delete the hunt and start over.
Passkeys: A passkey is held by your device or password manager, not by us. We store its public identifier and a copy of your key that only that passkey can open. A passkey that syncs through a platform account (iCloud, Google, a password manager) makes your hunt exactly as safe as that account.
Data Takeout: You may export your structured data at any time in standard JSON format via the console export door.

4. Client-Side Generative Inference & AI Costs

Doorhunter executes generative analysis client-side through your personal Claude desktop or web session via MCP stream (/mcp_stream). The host server executes zero generative LLM inference. You are solely responsible for obtaining and funding your own Anthropic account, API tokens, or workspace credentials required to interact with the MCP tools.

5. Strict No-Send Boundary & Hunter Agency

Doorhunter is strictly an organizational ledger and decision-support system. It incorporates a strict architectural No-Send boundary: Doorhunter never submits applications, transmits resumes, or initiates contact with recruiters or employers. Every communication and application submission requires your manual, deliberate action in your own browser.

6. Truthfulness of Career Claims

You are solely responsible for the authenticity, accuracy, and truthfulness of all resumes, career history, claims, and materials you upload to Doorhunter and subsequently present to prospective employers.

7. No Employment Guarantee & Disclaimer of Warranties

DOORHUNTER IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT OR GUARANTEE THAT THE USE OF DOORHUNTER WILL RESULT IN JOB INTERVIEWS, OFFERS, EMPLOYMENT, OR CAREER ADVANCEMENT. ALL FIT ASSESSMENTS, SCORES, AND CITATIONS ARE DETERMINISTIC EVALUATION AIDS AND DO NOT CONSTITUTE LEGAL, PROFESSIONAL, OR HIRING ADVICE.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to attempt to breach tenant isolation, access other hunters' encrypted databases, circumvent Turnstile anti-bot verification, flood registration endpoints, or utilize the service for any unlawful purpose.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE OPERATOR, DEVELOPERS, OR CONTRIBUTORS OF DOORHUNTER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR CAREER OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF THE SERVICE.

10. Termination & Crypto-Shredding

You may terminate your account at any time via the console. Terminating your account erases your hunt: its database is dropped and your account and passkey records are removed. The server never held your key, so nothing remains that could decrypt anything, and you may sign up again. The operator reserves the right to suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms.

11. Modifications

We may update these terms as the platform evolves. Notice of material updates will be indicated by the Effective Date on this page.
